Adding a Flash Movie with Sound to a Web Page
• In the Document window, click the location where you want to add the Flash movie.
• In the Common category of the Insert panel, click the Media button arrow, and then
click the Flash button.
• Navigate to the Flash movie file, and then double-click the file.
• Click the Yes button, navigate to the folder in which you want to save the file, and then
click the Save button.
• In the Property inspector, adjust Flash movie attributes as needed.
Gage wants to add audio fi les he received from More Exquisite Less Dead—an Exquisite
Dead Guys tribute band that is playing at the next fest—to the lineup.html page. You will
add a Flash movie with sound to the page that does not play automatically. The movie will
contain a button that users click to start the audio. You will use a table to structure this con-
tent so that other band names and audio fi les can easily be added to the page.
To add a Flash movie with sound to the lineup.html page:
1. If you took a break after the previous session, make sure that the NextBest Fest
site is open and the workspace is reset to the default Designer configuration.
2. Open the lineup.html page in Design view. You'll create a table to hold the new
content.
3. Below the Lineup heading text, create a table that has 4 rows, 3 columns,
600 pixels width, 0 border thickness, 10 cell padding, 0 cell spacing, no header,
and The left column of the table contains the names of bands who will be
playing at the next fest and logo artwork, when possible. The right column
contains sound clips for those bands. (including the period) as the summary.
4. Set all three columns to have a horizontal alignment of Left and a vertical align-
ment of Top .
5. Click in the first cell in the first row, type Band , press the Tab key, type Audio ,
press the Tab key, type Info , and then format the first row with Heading 2 . See
Figure 7-25.
