Flash movie previewed in a browser
Trouble? If you don't have the latest version of Flash Player, a Security Warning
dialog box opens when you try to preview the page in a browser. Click the Yes
button to update the version. After the new Flash Player is downloaded, the movie
will start playing.
Trouble? If the page continues to load for an extended period of time (twice
the time it would usually take), you need to download the most recent version of
the Flash Player from the Adobe site. Go to the Adobe site at www.adobe.com/
downloads , click the Adobe Flash Player button to start the download, follow the
prompts to download and install the latest version of the Flash Player, close the
browser, and then repeat Step 4.
5. Close the browser.
Adjusting Attributes of a Flash Movie
Many attributes of Flash movies can be adjusted within Dreamweaver. You can adjust the
following attributes of a Flash movie in the Property inspector when the movie object is
selected:
FlashID. A unique name for the movie used in scripts. The ID can contain letters and
numbers, but not spaces or special characters, and it cannot start with a number.
W and H. The dimensions of the Flash movie, which are set when the movie is cre-
ated and measured by default in pixels. You can also measure the movie in picas (pc),
points (pt), inches (in), millimeters (mm), centimeters (cm), and percentage of a parent
object (%). Changing the width or height of a Flash movie can change the aspect ratio
of the movie. It can cause the movie to play more slowly because every frame of the
