tion (and version penetration), a current market breakdown that includes Flash Player
and competing technologies, and user profi les.
Before you add a Flash movie to the NextBest Fest site, Gage asks you to research the
integration of Flash elements into a Web site. You will go to the Adobe site and review
the current Flash information and statistics.

To research Flash information and statistics on the Adobe site:

1. Start your browser, type adobe.com/products/flashplayer in the Address bar,
and then press the Enter key. The Adobe Flash Player home page opens.
Trouble? If the Adobe Flash Player home page does not open, type www.adobe.
com in the Address bar, press the Enter key to open the Adobe home page, type
flash player in the Search for box, press the Enter key, click a link to the Flash
Player in the list of links, and then continue with Step 2.

2. Click the Statistics link located on the right side of the Web page. The current
statistical breakdown of market penetration for each of the most popular media
players appears in the browser window. See Figure 7-12.
