Billing itself as a 'pop lounge and restaur-
ant', Perla is the schmickest place in Budva to see and be seen - both of which are assis-
ted by its glitzy glass facade. A full menu is available throughout the day (the cooked
breakfasts are reasonably priced and excellent), but we prefer to slink in for cocktails.

With its tropical foliage, swinging
lounges and brightly coloured cushions, Hacienda is a relaxing spot for a daytime cock-
tail. On summer nights it's a different beast altogether, with DJs creating a nightclub vibe
and brawny barmen showing off their glass-juggling skills.

It's not nightclubbing as we know it (where's the dancefloor?) but Trocadero is the best
of Budva's indoor clubs. From the mezzanine you can gaze down at punters propping up
the little circular tables that are scattered throughout the large oval space. Music ranges
from techno to turbo folk, with regular live performances by local starlets.
