Point Hotel's next-door neighbour may forever be in its shadow, but it is a more reason-
ably priced option and there's an on-site terrace restaurant, friendly staff, parking and a
pool. Ask for one of the renovated rooms, which are sleeker and more stylish than the rest.

Monrovia's
finest hotel is an institution. It has 60-plus beautiful rooms, decked out with stylish fur-
nishings and luxurious bathrooms (the suites are divine, with stunning sea views). There's
an excellent terrace restaurant, adjacent sushi bar, casino and pool, and there are plans to
add a spa, gym and cocktail bar.

are usually a handful of flavours on offer, such as chocolate and passion fruit, although
many regulars swear by the creamy vanilla. There's also a sandwich and burger menu, a
popcorn machine, rides for toddlers and, upstairs, sports on the big screen.
