MALAY & NONYA
Head to Kampung Baru to sample the specialities of Malaysia's eastern states, such as
Kelantanese nasi kerabu and ayam percik (barbecued chicken smothered in chilli-coconut
sauce) and, from Terengganu, nasi dagang (nutty, coconut milk-cooked red rice).
Also look out across the city for restaurants serving Nonya (also spelled Nyonya), or
Peranakan, cuisine, a fusion of Chinese and Malay ingredients and cooking techniques.
