Darling of Slow Food junkies, Blue Hill was an early crusader in the local-is-better move-

A brilliant brunching pit stop before (or after) tackling the verdant High Line across the
street, buzzing Cookshop knows its niche and does it well. Excellent service, eye-opening
cocktails (good morning Bloody Maria!), a perfectly baked breadbasket and a cast of in-
ventive egg mains make this a Chelsea winner on a Sunday afternoon. Dinner is a sure-
fire win too. Ample outdoor seating on warm days seals the deal. (
