The chalets here are set back from the road, surrounding an inviting pool area giving the
entire place a tranquil feel. The split-level cabins are quite drab but the suites, with their
alpine-overload of pine cladding, are lovely, light and fresh-feeling with glorious views to
boot. Open April to November.

Just beneath Bellapais Abbey, this lovely resort, amid lush gardens, is a tranquil hideaway
well worth splashing out for. Rooms ooze casual luxury with fresh, modern decor and
contemporary bathrooms. The split-level cottages, with expansive sea views from the bal-
cony, are particularly inviting. Sip your drink poolside, while admiring the abbey's archi-
tecture above, and you may decide to never leave.

Has a brilliant white theme, with pools and patios, backed by the grandeur of the moun-
tains. The spotless sea-view cottages are dressed with fresh flowers and lace. This is a se-
rene getaway for couples and romantics, as the hotel has a child-free policy. It's about
4km west of Kyrenia, heading toward Lapta.
Bella View HOTEL

If you've got your own transport, this friendly hotel on the main road between Girne and
Bellapais is a great choice. Rooms are packed with old-world character with dark wood,

great views up to Bellapais Abbey (20 minutes' walk uphill).
