Drinking & Nightlife
Famagusta is pretty light on drinking and entertainment. The road heading past the uni-
versity towards Salamis is usually your best bet, with a string of clone-like bars and cafes.
D&B
CAFE
This place is great for a drink right in the heart of town, directly opposite the main
mosque. Everyone from local students to travellers fills the seats here and it's the perfect
spot to rest up after some serious ruin-treading.
Monks Inn
BAR
Inside a medieval house, this bar is all about chilling out and sampling the cocktails. It's
tucked away in a side street just east of Lala Mustafa Paşa Camii.

Shopping
Famagusta is very limited when it comes to shopping. Be aware that certain products are
most likely counterfeits from Turkey, including items like brand-name watches, sneakers
and apparel.
