herbs, the succulent variety of meat and the wild vegetable meze dishes leave you scram-

6 Drinking & Nightlife
Larnaka's drinking scene centres on the Finikoudes, offering bars and cafes of every style.
More intimate pubs and kafeneia (cafes) can be found in the side streets leading away
from the coast and tend to have more reasonable prices.
While most serious party-goers head to Agia Napa for its club and bar scene, there are
some easy-going spots to enjoy in Larnaka. Once more, the seafront and surrounding
streets provide some good clubs, but in Larnaka the hottest spot is the up-and-coming area
of Makenzy Beach.
In summer regular beach parties are held with guest DJs from around the globe and you
can drink and dance all day at the beach bars on the sand. Watch out for the leaflets posted
around town advertising musical acts.
