cuisine presented with contemporary flair, try this swish, minimalist restaurant in an an-
cient stone town house. Specialities include
feijoada à transmontana
(a stew of red beans,
pork and cabbage) and
cabrito assado com castanhas
(roast kid with chestnuts). Its lofty
reputation isn't always matched by quality and service but it's still the town's best option.
Downstairs is a lounge bar, an appealing place for a pre- or postdinner drink.
