Getting There & Away
BUS
veia's
bus station
(Rua Cidade da Guarda)
, a 10-minute walk north of the centre. Marques runs to
Seia (€2.55, 25 minutes, four per weekday) and Guarda (€4.35, 1½ hours, one daily).
Rede Expressos goes two or three times daily to Coimbra (€13.20, two hours) and Lisbon
(€19, 4¾ hours).
TRAIN
The Gouveia railway station, 14km north near Ribamondego, is on the Beira Alta line
between Coimbra (€8.90, 1¾ hours) and Guarda (€5.60, 50 minutes) - regional trains stop
here two to four times daily. A taxi between Gouveia and the station will cost around €10.
