Ceramica Artistica Solimene
( 089 21 02 43; www.solimene.com ; Via Madonna degli Angeli 7) This vast factory
outlet, the most famous ceramics shop in town, sells everything from eggcups to orna-
mental mermaids, mugs to lamps. Even if you don't go in, it's worth having a look at the
shop's extraordinary glass and ceramic facade. It was designed by Italian architect Paoli
Soleri, who studied under the famous Californian 'organic' architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

( 089 21 00 53; Via Costiera Amalfitana 14-16) Located at the entrance to town with a
convenient car park, the showroom here has a great choice of ceramics, including some
reasonably priced and colourful tiles (€8) that make terrific hotplates.
