Come here for exceptional pizza with some 16 choices on the menu, includ-
ing the Ravellese, with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and courgettes. Other dishes in-
clude lasagne with red pumpkin, smoked mozzarella and porcini mushrooms, and an in-
novative chickpea and cod antipasto. The atmosphere is one of subdued elegance, with a
small outside terrace and grainy historical pics of Ravello on the walls.

Located just above the Piazza Duomo, this
place has a time-tested feel, with its old-fashioned interior and crusty local clientele. The
coffee is famously the best in town, and the sweet treats of pastries and ice creams are re-
liably good.

and ceramics are the mainstays of the Amalfi Coast souvenir trade and you'll
find both sold here.

limoncello
produced
and sold here is made with local lemons; known to experts as
sfusato amalfitano,
they're
enormous - about double the size of a standard lemon. The tot is made according to tradi-
tional recipes, so there are no preservatives and no colouring. And it's not just the owners
who say so - all bottles carry the IGP (
Indicazione Geografica Proteta
; Protected Geo-
graphical Indication) quality mark. You may just see the bottling in progress when you
visit; t takes place just at the back of the shop.
