Festivals & Events
Noto's colourful two-week-long flower festival, Infiorata , is celebrated in mid- to late May
with parades, historical re-enactments and a public art project in which artists decorate the
length of Via Corrada Nicolaci with designs made entirely of flower petals.

Ostello Il Castello

hill from the centre, this old-school hostel with eight- to 16-bed dorms commands fab-
ulous views over the duomo and offers great value for money, despite the paltry breakfast.

kilometres downhill from Noto, overlooking the Vendicari bird sanctuary, is this lovely
rural retreat set around a central courtyard. The best of the 34 ceramic-clad, wood-beamed
rooms overlook the pool. Other amenities include an in-house restaurant, a lovely break-
fast area built around an ancient olive-oil press, bike hire, cooking courses and a shuttle
bus to the nearby beach.

Hotel della Ferla

family-run hotel in a residential area near the train station offers large, bright rooms with
pine furnishings and small balconies, plus free parking.

Eating
The people of Noto are serious about their food, so take time to enjoy a meal and follow it
up with a visit to one of the town's excellent ice-cream shops.
Caffè Sicilia

and especially renowned for its granite , this beloved place vies with its next-door neigh-
bour, Dolceria Corrado Costanzo, for the honours of Noto's best dessert shop. Frozen
