This second Mikimoto store
in the Ginza, designed by Ito
Toyo, is certainly the most
interesting one to look at from
the outside. The store chain was
named after Mikimoto Kokichi,
who created the cultured pearl
back in 1893

Tokyo, in terms of choice, scale,
and location. If the antique
furniture is too expensive, take a
look at the cheap ceramic ware,
the boxes of old postcards, or
