It's no wonder that so many books, films and television productions are set in
Tuscany. Few places have such a rich history and landscape to draw on for inspira-
tion, and even fewer offer authors, actors and crews such a sybaritic location in which
to research, write and shoot their works. The birthplace of Italian literature (courtesy
