ing easy access to the animated nightlife of Catania's historic centre, this B&B in a beauti-
fully decorated family home is Catania's most delightful place to stay. Rooms are spa-
cious, with high ceilings, antique tiles, frescoes and artistic accoutrements from the own-
ers' travels in India. There are three rooms and two glorious apartments, which all fill up
fast, so book ahead.
Each room has its own private bathroom across the hall. The upstairs apartments are
spacious, elegant and light, and the four-bed apartment boasts a marvellous roof terrace,
perfect for moonlit glasses of wine.
Marco (who speaks French) offers tours of the coastline in his private boat, while
Teresa (who speaks German and English) makes a delicious, varied breakfast in her floral
kitchen.

An uninhib-
itedly colourful, modern sense of style prevails at this trendy B&B. All rooms feature loc-
al art work and TVs with DVD players. The two-level upstairs apartment with full kitchen
and private terrace is a fab option for self-caterers, especially since the fish and vegetable
markets are right around the corner. The staff is great about suggesting cultural goings-on
about town.

A great
option for families, these three delightful apartments on a peaceful dead-end alley have all
the comforts of home plus a host of whimsical touches. Each has a flowery mini-balcony,
and all are decorated with the owners' art work, handmade furniture, family heirlooms
and vintage finds from local antiques markets. French and English spoken.
Apartments 2 and 3 each come with a washing machine, kitchen, high chair and
stroller, and ample space for a family of four. Apartment 1 is smaller and costs €10 to €20
