side the pedestrianised centre is this cordial, family-run hotel. Rooms are bright and airy
with minimal decor and plain, functional furniture. The best have small sea-view terraces
(for which you pay slightly more). Breakfast is served on the panoramic rooftop terrace
and parking is available (€10).

tail is perfect in this painstakingly restored former music school, recently converted to a
luxurious B&B on a back alley just above Corso Umberto. Vintage furniture and fixtures,
handcrafted woodwork, fine homespun sheets and modern bathrooms all contribute to the
elegant feel; the spacious rooftop terrace is just icing on the cake.

Right on the
seafront, next to the tourist office, this is a lovely family-run hotel with 40 rooms, all indi-
vidually decorated with traditional Sicilian furnishings and marvellous inlaid wood bed-
steads. There's nothing flash about the place, but it's got character and the graceful own-
ers extend a warm welcome.
