Eating
Sciacca has an active fishing port which makes it an excellent place to eat fish and sea-
food. The best fish restaurants are down by the port.

ally sets alarm bells ringing, think again. This welcoming portside trattoria is one of the
few places you can feast on delicious fresh fish and still get change from €20. What's
served depends on what the boats have brought in.
Tasty staples to look out for include pasta con le sarde (with sardines, fennel, bread-
crumbs and raisins) and grilled calamari.

and pizzeria sits on the corner of Sciacca's lovely belvedere. It's a place with simple tradi-
tional dishes, such as pasta with tomatoes and seafood, good fresh fish and decent pizza.
The harbour views are lovely and it's best to get here for an early evening supper as the
sun goes down.

this laid-back eatery is popular with lunching locals. It's decked out in typical trattoria
style with brick arches and hanging ceramics and serves a predominantly fish-based
menu. Follow an antipasto of polpettine di acciughe (anchovy balls) with risotto alla mar-
inara in salsa zafferano (risotto with seafood in a saffron sauce).
