Liceu) After almost a decade in planning, the Filmoteca de Catalunya moved into this mod-
ern 6,000-sq-metre building in March 2012. In addition to two cinema screens totaling 555
seats, the new Filmoteca comprises a film library, a bookshop, a cafe, offices and a dedic-
ated space for exhibitions.

6-11pm; Sant Antoni) A cramped little bar run by the Taller de Músics (Musicians' Work-
shop) serves as the stage for a varied program of jazz through to some good flamenco (Fri-
day nights). Concerts start around 9pm but the jam sessions can get going as early as
6.30pm.

El Raval street, where a hardy band of streetwalkers, junkies and other misfits hang out in
spite of all the work being carried out to gentrify the area, a narrow little bar has made a
