New owners Anne and Chris have spruced up this attractive yellow hacienda with brand
new bathrooms and colorful wall murals. Private rooms (mostly with shared bathroom) are
excellent value, with Spanish-tiled floors, beamed ceilings and fat flat-screens on the wall.
The dorms are quite clean but otherwise unspectacular.
Outside, you'll find lovely tropical gardens, a luxurious veranda, a small pool and ham-
mocks, all surrounded by woods inhabited by howler monkeys.
Blue Trailz Hostel HOSTEL

Across the street from the beach, this immaculate and intimate hostel is popular among the
surfer set and other party people. Super-attentive staff go out of their way to make sure
everyone is having a good time. Guests get reduced rates on boards, bikes, lessons and
tours. Sweet.

Inside this leafy compound are dorms and private rooms accented by hand-painted flour-
ishes and mirrored mosaics. It's not much of a party place, but the vibe is friendly and su-
per chill, especially in the common rancho, furnished with hammocks and rocking chairs.
Also: bike rental, yoga classes, Reiki crystals, surf lessons and more.
