One of several Fatamorgana shops across Rome, this is one of the finest among the
city's new gourmet gelatarie. Maria Agnese Spagnuolo uses the best natural ingredients to
produce the classics, such as pistachio, as well as creative and unusual combinations such
as Thumbelina (walnuts, rose petals and violet flowers).

tevere feast, plonk yourself at one of Augusto's rickety tables, either inside or out on the
small piazza, and prepare to enjoy some mamma-style cooking. The gruff waiters dish out
hearty platefuls of
rigatoni all'amatriciana

stracciatella
(clear broth with egg and
Parmesan) among a host of Roman classics. Be prepared to queue. Cash only.
