Getting There & Away
The bus, train and ferry terminals are all grouped conveniently together next to the har-
bour on the southern edge of the bay.
Boat
CalMac ( www.calmac.co.uk ) ferries link Oban with the islands of Mull , Coll , Tiree , Lis-
more , Colonsay , Barra and Lochboisdale (South Uist). See the relevant island entries
for details. Information and reservations for all CalMac ferry services are available at the
ferry terminal ( 01631-562244; Railway Pier; 9am-6pm Mar-Oct) near the train sta-
tion. Ferries to the Isle of Kerrera depart from a separate jetty, about 2 miles southwest of
Oban town centre, or you can use the Oban Marina passenger ferry ( Click here ) from
Oban's North Pier.
Bus
Scottish Citylink ( www.citylink.co.uk ) operates intercity coaches to Oban, while West
Coast Motors ( www.westcoastmotors.co.uk ) runs local and regional services. The bus ter-
minal is outside the train station.
