glen by a river, 2 miles from Brodick, this large place has plenty of nooks and crannies to
pitch a tent. It's remote camping, with cold water and toilets only. To get there from
Brodick head north, take String Rd, then turn right almost immediately on the road signed
to Glen Rosa. After 400m, you'll see a white house on the left, where you book in; the
campground is further down the road.

The Brodick Bar££
(Alma Rd; mains £9-19) Don't leave Brodick without dropping in here. The regularly
changing menu chalked up on a blackboard brings a modern French flair to this Arran

buzzy on weekend evenings.

been threatening to close for years, but seems to keep on opening every season so you
might be lucky. Situated 1.5 miles north of Brodick, it's Arran's top choice for fresh sea-

daily fish special - are delicious. It's not licensed, so bring a bottle.

and modern, this likeable little cafe-bar does tasty meals through the day, with pizzas and
