Subterranean Verve allegedly stocks Australia's biggest selection of ciders. But that's
not why you're here. Well, it might be - but try some of the imaginative pastas, salads,
risottos and pizzas before you start drinking. The sand crab and snapper risotto with lem-
on and fresh thyme is a winner. Radiohead on the stereo; arty, relaxed crowd.

Menu masterpieces from chef Philip Johnson include liquorice-spiced pork belly with car-
