Near the boat landing, this was the most happening place in town
when we were there, filling up nightly with youthful travellers eager to munch happy
snacks and get their freak on. While it officially closes before midnight, it's likely to stay
open unofficially until 1am.

There is no bank, so take the ferry over to Ban Nakasang, which has a BCEL with an

Ban Nakasang is also the place to go for medical and postal services.
Getting There & Away
Boats regularly leave Don Det for Ban Nakasang (per person/boat 15,000/30,000K). You
can charter a private boat to Don Khong from
Paradise Bungalows
(Sunrise Blvd)
for 75,000K
per person, with a minimum of two people.
For Pakse (70,000K, 2½ to three hours, 148km), buses or
sŏrngtăaou
leave Ban Nakas-
ang at around 11am, with a second wave of departures early evening, while túk-túk
(40,000K, 3½ hours) leave early morning up until 8am.
