DON'T MISS
FLIGHT OF THE GIBBON
Angkor is the ultimate backdrop for state-of-the-art zipline experience in Asia. New in 2013, Flight of
the Gibbon Angkor ( 096 999 9101; www.treetopasia.com ; near Ta Nei Temple, Angkor; per per-
son US$99; 7am-5pm) is located inside the Angkor protected area. The course includes 10 zip-
lines, 21 tree-top platforms, four sky bridges and an abseil finish. A conservation element is included
in the project with a pair of gibbons released in the surrounding forest and a plan for more introduc-
tions in the future.
If we have one quibble, it would be the high entry price, which does not include the US$20 admis-
sion to the temple complex (you pay that separately). However, the price does include an optional
transfer to any Siem Reap hotel, plus a lunch before or after the trip near Sra Srang. At the time of
writing the price was being discounted to US$79 per person; it was unclear how long the discount
would last.
