In-Depth Information
» Swiss Pass The Swiss Pass entitles the holder to unlimited travel on almost every train,
boat and bus service in the country, and on trams and buses in 41 towns, plus free entry to
400-odd museums. Reductions of 50% apply on funiculars, cable cars and private rail-
ways. Different passes are available, valid between four days and one month.
» Swiss Flexi Pass This pass allows you to nominate a certain number of days (anywhere
from three to six) during a month when you can enjoy unlimited travel.
» Half-Fare Card Almost every Swiss owns one of these. As the name suggests, you pay
only half the fare on trains with this card, plus you get some discounts on local-network
buses, trams and cable cars. An adult one-year Half-Fare Card costs a local Sfr165 (photo
necessary).
» Family Card A free Family Card gets free travel (on trains, buses and boats - even on
some cable cars) for those aged six to 15 years when travelling with at least one of their
parents.
