Boat
CGN (Compagnie Générale de Navigation; 0848 811 848; www.cgn.ch ) runs steamers from
Jardin Anglais and Pâquis to other villages on Lake Geneva, including Lausanne (Sfr60,
3½ hours). Those aged six to 16 pay half-price and kids under six years sail for free. A
one-day Carte Journalière CGN pass (Sfr60) allows unlimited boat travel. Eurail and
Swiss travel passes are also valid.
Train
Trains to/from Annecy, Chamonix and other destinations in neighbouring France use
Gare des Eaux-Vives (Av de la Gare des Eaux-Vives). More-or-less-hourly connections run
from Geneva's central train station Gare de Cornavin (Place de Cornavin) to most Swiss
towns:
