Statement and supply an amended Price Statement which is
acceptable to the Quantity Surveyor after consultation with the
Architect;

.2 within 14 days from receipt of the amended Price Statement
the Contractor shall state whether or not he accepts the
amended Price Statement or part thereof and if accepted para-
graph A3 shall apply to that amended Price Statement or part
thereof; if no statement within the 14 days period is made the
Contractor shall be deemed not to have accepted, in whole or
in part, the amended Price Statement;

to the extent that the amended Price Statement is not accepted
by the Contractor, the Contractor's Price Statement and the
amended Price Statement may be referred either by the Em-
ployer or by the Contractor as a dispute or difference to the
Adjudicator in accordance with the provisions of clause 41A.

A5 Where no notification is given pursuant to paragraph A2 the
Price Statement is deemed not to have been accepted, and the Con-
tractor may, on or after the expiry of the 21 day period to which
paragraph A2 refers, refer his Price Statement as a dispute or differ-
ence to the Adjudicator in accordance with the provisions of clause
41A.

A6 Where a Price Statement is not accepted by the Quantity Surveyor
after consultation with the Architect or an amended Price State-
ment has not been accepted by the Contractor and no reference to
the Adjudicator under paragraph A4.3 or paragraph A5 has been
made, Alternative B shall apply.

A7.1 Where the Contractor pursuant to paragraph A1 has attached his
requirements to his Price Statement the Quantity Surveyor after
consultation with the Architect shall within 21 days of receipt
thereof notify the Contractor

either that the requirement in paragraph A1 in respect of the
amount to be paid in lieu of any ascertainment under clause
26.1 is accepted or that the requirement is not accepted and
clause 26.1 shall apply in respect of the ascertainment of any
direct loss and/or expense; and

either that the requirement in paragraph A1.2 in respect of an
adjustment to the time for the completion of the Works is
accepted or that the requirement is not accepted and clause
25 shall apply in respect of any such adjustment.

If the Quantity Surveyor has not notified the Contractor within
the 21 days specified in paragraph A7.1, clause 25 and clause 26
shall apply as if no requirements had been attached to the Price
Statement.
Alternative B
The valuation shall be made by the Quantity Surveyor in accordance
with the provisions of clauses 13.5.1 to 13.5.7.
