Tip
Using the Clone Stamp tool within a selection means we can clone over areas in
proximity to other parts of a picture without affecting them. If you find the active
selection (marching ants) distracting, press Command/Ctrl+H. The selection is
still active but hides the outline. When you've finished cloning, remember to press
Command/Ctrl+H to reveal it, and then choose Edit > Deselect.
12. When we reduced the height of the skirting board, this also affected parts of the
wardrobe. To correct this, add a layer mask to the skirting board layer, and with a
black soft-edged brush paint over the bottom part of the wardrobe ( Figures 9.16
and 9.17 ) .
