market scene, North Van's version is a few steps east of Lonsdale Quay. It's a fun way
to spend a balmy evening, with the ocean lapping nearby. Scoff grub from a dozen or so
food trucks, tap your toes to live bands on the little stage and buy an unusual souvenir
or two from the dozens of vendors.
It's an easy spot to end your North Shore day; the SeaBus back to the city is a stroll
away.

( www.covebike.com ; 1389 Main St, North Vancouver; 9:30am-5pm; 250) The North
Shore's favorite store for hardcore mountain bikers, the Cove doesn't rent bikes but it
sells and services for the area's serious biker dudes. An excellent spot for cyclists to rub
shoulders with the region's biking community; it's worth dropping in for a chat and
some expert tips on area trails.
PARK ROYAL
MALL
OFFLINE MAP
( www.shopparkroyal.com ; Marine Dr, West Vancouver ; 10am-7pm Mon & Tue, to 9pm Wed-Fri,
9:30am-6pm Sat, to 6pm Sun; 250) It's the region's oldest mall but Park Royal does a
good job of keeping up with the competition. With 280 stores (including all the usual
suspects), its ever-expanding Village area emulates an outdoor UK shopping high street
with strollable big stores and restaurants. The indoor area is a good option when the the
region's 'Wet Coast' nickname is in full force.
Park Royal is easy to access on transit from downtown Vancouver; buses trundle
over the picturesque Lions Gate Bridge and stop just outside.
