The perfect place to check out the local cool set, there's also plenty of outdoor seat-
ing here. Consider topping up your tan and watching the local streetscene with a mac-
chiato and a naughty orange honey pistachio doughnut.

flatiron wedge of concrete floors and expansive windows, slide onto a chunky cedar
bench here with your well-thumbed copy of L'Etranger and you might catch the eye of
an available local. If not, console yourself with a perfectly made cappuccino and a
chunky homebaked cookie (the fruit pies are recommended for additional consolation ).
On sunny afternoons, bask on a wood-block perch in the sun outside and watch the
Mount Pleasant locals strolling around the neighborhood like they own the place. They
might look serious, but they just need a hug. And if you're lucky, you'll spot a regular:
a little dog transported around by its owner in a tiny bicycle sidecar that looks like the
cockpit of a WWI German fighter plane (complete with fake machine gun).

more MacBooks than an Apple Store, Main St locals fill the tables here, silently updat-
ing their Facebook statuses as if their lives depended on it. But despite appearances,
this is a warm and welcoming hangout for all. The single-origin coffee is excellent and
there's a serious commitment to local artworks on the walls.
All the art is for sale - making this the perfect spot to pick-up a unique local souvenir
that beats anything you'll find in the usual places. And if you're lucky, you might even
meet the artist supping an espresso in the corner and trying to look nonchalant.
