(also spelled Chiehshou), which is where you'll find places to rent scooters and the
island's only bank. The walk to Jieshou from the airport takes about 20 minutes. Ferries
to outlying islands leave from
Fu'ao Harbour
(Fúaò Gǎng), just a few kilometres north-
west of Jieshou. The central bus station is in Jieshou Village, at the end of the main road
just before the start of the seaside park.
Sights
The main roads of Matsu roll with the hilly terrain. Riding on a scooter means endless
pretty scenes unfolding before your eyes, in particular the deep-blue sea dotted with
green islets, and it's well worth the petrol. The northwestern corner of Nangan is a partic-
ularly lovely area.
