This is a potentially confusing area as English signs are scant. You can catch the park
shuttle bus 108 here, but first head up the side road at the back of the lot, near the bath-
rooms, where there's a short, well-marked walking path to the National Park Headquar-
ters & Visitor Centre ( Click here ). Here you can get maps, and information in English.
To the northwest of the bus station and park headquarters are Yangming Park and
Zhuzihu, sites for the flower festivals in spring.
Park shuttle bus 108 leaves frequently from in front of the park headquarters. See the

Information
There are visitor centres at major tourist sights within the park and most usually have an
English speaker on hand. All these centres have simple maps of the park that include ba-
sic information and hiking-trail details in English. It's best to pick up the detailed Map of
Yangmingshan National Park (NT$50) at the cafeteria/bookstore in the National Park
Headquarters & Visitor Centre , just up from the main bus station. The park website is
also a good resource.
Getting There & Around
Red 5 (NT$30, 30 minutes, frequent) From Jiantan station, this bus goes directly to
Yangmingshan main bus station from 5.40am-12.40am.
Xiao 15 (NT$30, 40 minutes, every 20 to 60 minutes) From Jiantan station, this bus
goes directly to Lengshuikeng and Qingtiangang from 5.40am to 10.30pm
230 (NT15, 30 minutes, every 30 to 60 minutes) Runs between the Yangmingshan main
bus station and Beitou MRT (via the Folk Arts Museum).
Park Shuttle Bus 108 Does a clockwise loop around the park every 10 to 20 minutes
starting at the main bus station from 7am to 5.30pm. Fares are NT$15 for each ride or
NT$60 for a day pass.

Guandu
This riverside neighbourhood in the Beitou District has its own MRT stop with a number
of excellent attractions nearby. The Guandu Bridge is a Taipei landmark and the start of
kilometres of beautiful restored mangrove swamps that extend all the way to Tamsui.
