In-Depth Information
(Lěngshuǐkēng; 6am-12.30pm & 2-9pm, closed last Mon of each month) The public
bath on the park's eastern side has separate men's and women's indoor baths, although
free admission means there can be long queues to enter. Lengshuikeng means 'cold water
valley', and compared with other local hot springs it's chilly at 40°C. High iron content
makes the waters reddish brown.
Shuttle bus 108 stops here on its clockwise route around the park. You can get here
directly from Jiantan MRT on Xiao 15.

Eating
There are simple eateries, a Starbucks and convenience stores around the main bus sta-
tion, and snacks are available at visitor centres around the park. Grass Mountain Chateau
has a lovely restaurant; the International Hotel has an OK one. In general, if you are go-
ing hiking it's best to take food and water with you.
Orientation
You can access the park from the Shilin District, from Beitou (see boxed text Click here )
and also from Jinshan on the northeast coast. The easiest way for first time visitors is a
bus from Jiantan MRT (Shilin District) to Yangmingshan Bus Station.
