Seasonal Events:
Universal offers something different all year round. Whether it is live entertainment, horror
mazes or Holiday cheer, the Universal Orlando resort has it all covered. This section covers
all of the seasonal events that happen throughout the year.
Christmas and Holidays 2014
December 2014
There is a surprising amount on offer during the Holiday season at Universal Orlando.
The 2014 holiday season runs from December 6 th 2014 to January 3 rd 2015.
At Universal Studios Florida watch as the Macy's Holiday Parade rolls through the streets
with floats taken from the world-famous full-scale Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York
City- this even runs every evening throughout the holiday season. Or celebrate the holiday
season with the tree lighting ceremony!
You will also find live band “Mannheim steamroller” - the biggest selling Christmas band
of all time - rocking the stage with live performances on 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st
December 2014 - each performance will begin at 6:00pm and run for approximately one
hour. In addition, Barney's “A Day in the Park with Barney ” show gets a Christmas twist
and runs multiple times each day, as does The Blue's Brothers (Holiday) Show .
At Islands of Adventure the fun continues. Watch the fantastic “ Grichmas Who-liday Spec-
tacular ” - a 30-minute live-show with great music and starring The Grinch himself, telling
you how the Grinch stole Christmas. If you fancy something to eat then why not meet the
Dr Seuss characters at the holiday-season-only Character Breakfast with Grinch and Friends
- reservations are required for this one. Finally, you can actually meet The Grinch - play,
laugh and get some greet photos too!
Unfortunately, there are no meet and greets with Santa Claus at either park throughout the
Holiday season - a bit of a missed opportunity if you ask us.
For the transition into the New Year head over to CityWalk and party the night away with
live performances and a midnight champagne toast! A New Year's Eve party including club
admission and unlimited gourmet cuisine will run with pricing from $100 to $120 plus tax.
