In-Depth Information
Dining reservations:
Dining at Universal Orlando is varied - ranging from quick service meals to full-blown
table service locations. When you want to sit down and have a meal in a busy theme park,
you do not want to be kept waiting and you want to make sure there is a seat reserved for
you. That is where dining reservations come in. Now, if you are thinking “What? I have to
think about what I am going to be eating in 4, 5 or 12 months time?” then do not fret.
Unlike some of the other theme parks in the area (such as those operated by a mouse), at
Universal you will not have trouble making dining reservations. There is no need to sit by
your computer 180 days before you want your meal either. Instead, it is simple - browse
online through the various restaurants and their menus and book your table whenever you
want at no cost to you. With the exception of very busy seasons, you should be able to get a
reservation for a restaurant even 4 or 5 days in advance for most places. If there is a specif-
ic place you want to eat we recommend you book your table as soon as possible, however
we have frequently decided that we would like to eat a particular location and have known
to get reservations on the very same day.
If you do want to book in advance, then the official Universal website is the place to
go. You will need to visit https://www.universalorlando.com/Restaurants/50-Great-Res-
taurants.aspx .
Once you are on the website you will be able to look through the various restaurants, look
at the menus and then click the links to book through OpenTable.com. We do not recom-
mend going directly to the OpenTable website as it is very hard to navigate and find all the
restaurants at the resort on one page.
Top 5 Table Service restaurants at Universal:
Universal has table service restaurants dotted across its theme parks, CityWalk and resort
hotels so finding the best one can be a bit of a task. Luckily, we have rounded up those that
you really should not miss out on below. Note that prices and entrees change all the time
with seasons and chefs - those which we have listed were correct as of when we ate at the
locations and should merely be taken as examples.
1. Mythos (Islands of Adventure) - Mythos is often rated the number one theme park res-
taurant in all of Orlando, let alone just Universal. Mythos is a pure delight to eat in, with
its lavish interiors, exotic menu and, perhaps surprisingly, rather fair prices. Mythos will
truly transport you to a different world. Entrees are priced between $1e and $20. The food
