In-Depth Information
Outdoor stage shows also have areas designed for wheelchair users and their parties. Rides
are accessible - some will require a transfer, others will allow you to ride in your wheel-
chair.
You can get a wheelchair at the parking rotunda to help with the considerable distance from
the rotunda to the theme parks if necessary - simply ask the Team Members here. Altern-
atively you can rent these inside the theme parks.
Guests may pay the additional cost for an ECV once at the theme park or continue to use
the wheelchair throughout the day.
Note you do not NEED to have an Attraction Assistance Pass if you are in a wheelchair as
all rides have an accessible entrance, but it can make things easier when there are partic-
ularly long queues so we do recommend it. If you or someone you are with suffers from
a disability that is not easily seen we thoroughly recommend the use of one of the Assist-
ance Passes as the attraction greeters will most likely make you use the regular queue due
to company procedures.
Service Animals are permitted throughout the theme parks but each attraction will have
a specific way of boarding. Kennels exist at some attractions for service animals. The
greeters at the entry of each attraction will be able to provide more information.
Rides and shows:
Additionally special requirements exist for guests with prosthetic limbs and guests with
oxygen tanks. More information about rides and shows specifically is available through the
Riders Guide for Rider Safety & Guests with Disabilities (PDF file) . It can be downloaded
online from http://www.universalorlando.com/Images/Riders_Guide_tcm13-26195.pdf
