with up-to-date knowledge of industrial practice and new methods of machin-
ing techniques.
Find out who sells the milling machine you are thinking of buying and what,
if any, are the limitations. Phone up the supplier and ask for the after sales
and service department. Find out how long it takes them to answer the phone
and ask them a simple question; did they know the answer or did they have
to find out and call you back? Did they even bother to call you back?
Is the machine imperial or metric? Are the leadscrews round figures; that is,
if you turn the handle one turn, will it move a specific amount, say 2mm, or is
it an odd figure like 1.43mm because the leadscrew is imperial on a so-called
