We have come to the end of the topic. Hopefully you are wiser and you can
tackle any milling job you might encounter in your home (or place of work)
workshop.
Most engineering is a matter of common sense, care and patience. Before
you start a component, think about it, make a sketch and write down the se-
quence to make it. Ensure you have all the tools required to hand.
If the component is a funny shape or you do not understand the drawing,
make a mock-up by hand with plasticine. It may seem laughable, but this
method works. I have modelled sewing machine components and aircraft
parts to figure out what I am trying to make. Plasticine is cheaper than metal.
Enjoy your milling machine and make sure you use safe working practices.
Remember, milling cutters are sharp!
