Fig. 12.14. After drilling the first set of holes the casting is removed, a small pin is put
into the fixture and the cylinder put back on the other way up to drill the holes in the
other end. The location pin ensures the holes are in line at both ends.
Back stop in collets and chucks
Fit an end stop into the end of a collet or chuck to ensure every component
locates in the same way. If you cannot use a backstop, use a top hat bush
where the rim of the top hat goes against the face of the collet or chuck.
