Roofing Technician

Minimum Education Same as for Level II technician
Minimum General
All skills required of Level II technician.
Skill Set
Capable of performance of basic preventative
maintenance procedures within one or more craft areas
with no supervision.
Capable of performing inspection, analysis, and
evaluation of facility components within one or more
craft areas.
Capable of directing and supervising Level I and II
technicians.

Craft Skill Set
Maintain, repair, and replace all types of roofing
materials using tools and equipment of the trade.
Repairs leaks in metal roof, walls, and ceilings by
soldering, crimping, riveting, and welding seams in
sheet metal and installing flashing and waterproof felt
using appropriate hand and power tools to reduce water
damage and restore water-tight integrity.
Fabricate miscellaneous metal parts such as gavel
guards, gutters, spouts, pipes, by cutting, drilling,
tapping and soldering metal to meet roofing
requirements.

Minimum 6 or more years working in construction or building
Experience maintenance.
