Knowledge of construction drafting and ability to read

Craft Skill Set
Assist in servicing and replacing minor plumbing
fixtures.
Perform minor electrical work not requiring a licensed
electrician such as replacing light bulbs and fuses.
Assist in minor carpentry, masonry, roofing, and other
general facility maintenance.
Maintain machinery, equipment, and tools by cleaning,
lubricating, greasing, oiling to ensure optimum working
order.

Minimum 1-2 years depending, on education, working in
Experience construction or building maintenance.

General Facility Technician Level II
Semi-skilled or “helper” level maintenance worker who performs
under the general supervision of a higher level technician.

Minimum Education 2-year Associate Degree, completion of apprentice
program, or military training in the a specific
maintenance craft.
15 hours, minimum, each year of additional instruction
in one or more craft areas.

Minimum General
All skills required of Level I technician.

Knowledge and understand of building codes, facility
standards, and applicable regulations for a specific craft.
