Bars
There are tons of bars along Ocean Dr; a meander at happy hour will get you half-price
drinks.
Room BAR

bar in SoBe is a gem: hip and sexy as hell but with a low-key attitude. Per the name, it's
small and gets crowded.
Abraxas BAR

Abraxas couldn't be friendlier. Uncrowded and serving fantastic beer from around the
world, it's tucked away in a residential part of South Beach.
Electric Pickle BAR
( www.electricpicklemiami.com ; 2826 N Miami Ave; 10pm-5am Wed-Sat) In Wynwood, arty
hipsters become glamorous club kids in this two-story hepcat hot spot. The Pickle is
sexy, gorgeous and literate.
Nightclubs
To increase your chances of getting into the major nightclubs, call ahead to get on the
guest list. Having gorgeous, well-dressed females in your group doesn't hurt either (un-
less you're going to a gay bar). In South Beach clubs and live music venues, cover
charges range from $20 to $25; elsewhere you'll get in for around half that.
