Modish and highlighter bright, the Helix
is playfully hip - the perfect hotel for the bouncy international set that makes up the sur-
rounding neighborhood. Little touches suggest a youthful energy (Pez dispensers in the
minibar) balanced with worldly cool, such as the pop-punk decor - just camp enough to
be endearing. Specialty rooms include Bunk (that's right, bunk beds) and studios with
kitchenettes; all rooms have comfy, crisp-sheet beds and flat-screen TVs.
