Flat Pattern
The
Flat Pattern
command flattens the part so that you can easily display the manufacturing
information. Activate the
Flat Pattern
command (click
Flat Pattern > Flat Pattern
on the
ribbon) and click on a base sheet. On the
Flat Pattern
dialog, check the
Move to Absolute
CSYS
option and click on an edge to define the x-axis of the flat pattern. Click
OK
to create
the flat pattern.
On the ribbon, click
View > Orientation > More > New Layout
to open the
New Layout
dialog. On this dialog, select
FLAT-PATTERN
and click
OK
. The flat pattern appears. To
switch back to the modeling mode, open the
New Layout
dialog, select
Isometric
, and click
OK
.
