The Snyder cabin was built from oak
and chestnut logs. It was moved and
reassembled on the shore of a pond
and is used as a retreat.
The McRaven house near Free Union,
Virginia, is actually three recycled
houses joined together — a log cabin
and two unusual post-and-beam
houses. Stone completely covers the
kitchen end, and stone-ended stucco
covers the other end, which is the living
room. The family room and master bed-
room are in the log section.
