In-Depth Information
You can save any of these print layouts as JPEG f files, , so you can send
them to a photo lab, or have someone else output your files, or email
them to your client, or one of the dozen different things you want
JPEGs of your layouts for. Here's how it's done:
Saving Your Page
Layout as a JPEG
Step One:
Once your layout is all set, go to the Print
Job panel (in the right side Panels area),
and from the Print To pop-up menu (at
the top right of the panel), choose JPEG
File (as shown here).
Step Two:
When you choose to print to a JPEG, a new
set of features appears. First, ignore the
Draft Mode Printing checkbox (it's just for
when you're actually printing contact sheets
full of small thumbnails). For File Resolution,
the default is 300 ppi, but if you want to
change it, move your cursor directly over
the File Resolution field (the 300), and your
cursor will change into a “scrubby slider”
(it's that hand with the two arrows, as seen
here). Now you can click-and-drag left to
lower the resolution amount, or click-and-
drag right to increase it.
